Feet Have Been Located!!!! :)

Alexis has found her feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I was so tickled to see Lexi playing with her feet this morning! I have been waiting for her to reach down and realize she has other "toys" to play with and stick in her mouth! I want to see how this little girl gets these feet in her mouth!! Haha!

New High Chair!!!

We bought Lexi's high chair today and she seemed to really enjoy sitting in it! She loves to sit up these days. After she got use to it, I gave her a little rice cereal...although she wasn't as in to that as she was the view from the chair :)

4 Month Stats!

Lexi had her 4 month check-up this morning with Ms. Tia --- she really likes Ms. Tia. She did wonderfully. She is now 13 pounds 10 ounces and is 24 1/4" in length! Such a big girl! She is in the 50th percentile for everything (weight, length, and head circumference). Overall she did a great job. She even cooperated during her "tummy time" part of the exam! I couldn't be prouder! Tonight I am going to start the twice a day rice cereal plan. We will see how that goes! :)

Here are some pictures of her from before her visit to the doctor. She was so happy. Little did she know that she would be stuck with 2 needles shortly after these pictures were taken! :(Make sure you notice the "baby jeans!" :) I need to get her a pair of 6 month jeans! I love baby jeans!!! :)

Happy 4 Months and Baby Food!

My baby girl is 4 months old! She is now 1/3 of the way to a year old! That seems so insane to me. She has her 4 month baby appointment with the Pediatrician this coming Wednesday. I am excited to see how tall she is. She seems very tall to me. At her last appointment last Monday she weighed 13 pounds 5 ounces. I don't expect it to change a whole lot at this appointment coming up.

She is very much in to holding items now. She loves holding her bunny, the rattle, or just about anything she can get her hands on. She hasn't found her feet just yet, but I see that coming soon. She was sitting on my lap the other day and reached down and held on to her foot. So she is getting there. She is much happier sitting or standing up than she is lying down on her activity mat. I think it is because she loves the new view of her surroundings.

Next month she has an appointment with a GI specialist to make sure that her reflux is being managed properly. She doesn't mind taking the prevacid and has even gotten to the point where she will open her mouth when the dropper is coming at her. However, her Zantac is a different issue. She flat out refuses to take those meds! So last night we didn't give them to her. She seemed to do okay. We figured if she seems like she might be a little uncomfortable, we will give her a dose of Maalox, which she doesn't mind taking. That will also help with her wicked gas issue :) Gotta love baby farts :)

Here are her 4 month pictures I took yesterday. I cannot believe how big she has gotten. Hard to believe I will be planning her 1st Birthday Party soon :) haha!! Well not too soon...but it seems like it is going fast enough that it will be sooner than I'd like!
So on her 4th month birthday, we decided to try some rice cereal with Lexi. She seemed to really enjoy it. She even opened her mouth when I came at her with the spoon. Her tongue movement was great!!! She hardly got any on herself. I was very proud of her and she seemed to really enjoy the new adventure. I will try to do rice cereal with her for a week and then maybe next weekend we can try some bananas with her :) I love this new milestone! She is one step closer to enjoying a nice tasty hamburger :) Haha!!
On another note, John and I enjoyed our first date night since Lexi was born. It was so comforting knowing that she was at home with her aunts. I had no worries at all! They did amazingly with her! John and I went out to dinner and then to the mall. It is so funny...the whole time we were away from Lexi, all we did was talk about her! Guess that is what it is like to be a parent! I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Her Favorite Toy!

This toy was given to Lexi by one of my co-workers when she was just a couple of weeks old. Who would have known this would have become one of her favorite toys. She absolutely loves it and I think that is because she can fit her tiny little hands around it and hold it. She is enjoying putting it in her mouth too! Silly girl!

I am very much in disbelief that she will be turning 4 months old on Saturday! I cannot believe it. She will be 1/3 of the way to a year old! Saturday morning we are going to give rice cereal a try with her! I will definitely have the camera ready for that experience! I did try the spoons out with her and she seemed to get a kick out of that.

Here is a cute picture I took of her over the weekend after I made her little bow. She wasn't too happy that mommy put it on her, but I did it anyway :)

Look at that Hair!!!

I just had to share this picture! We had just washed Lexi's hair this past Saturday and it was all over the place! She has soooo much hair! When it is freshly washed and hasn't dried yet, it is very curly! I really wish it would stay curly. When it dries though it goes straight just like mommy's. I am still in disbelief that she didn't lose any of her hair.
This past weekend I was busy trying to make her some headbands to match some of her outfits. I taught myself how to make those korker bows. I made her one for Valentines Day with pink and red ribbon! I need to buy some headbands from Etsy though because I only had the one that I could use. Below is a picture of the one that I did make her yesterday. For my first try, I think it turned out pretty good! I would like to find some alligator clips instead so I can clip them to her hair since she has so much of it. I can't seem to find small ones though in stores. I might have to buy them online. I cannot wait to make her more for summer to match her summer dresses!!!

Well we also think that Alexis has begun the teething process. In the past couple of days she has become increasingly fussy. She is also having a tough time when it comes to eating. She is sucking on her fingers like there is no tomorrow and drooling rivers of spit out of her mouth. I have tried to look at her gums but I am not seeing anything. But I would bet that the process has started! She will be 4 months on Saturday, so it is definitely a possibility! Poor girl.

All Smiles!

I recently broke down and bought a new digital camera. I got tired of getting crappy pictures of Lexi so I wanted something nice. I have had it only 2 days and I am already very happy with the results! Below are some pictures I captured this morning of Lexi smiling...catching a smile prior to this new camera was very very hard!!!!!
Here are some of my other pictures John and I have taken since I got the camera. Isn't she just so precious! She is definitely much happier since they changed her reflux medicine! I am so glad that I brought it up again at her last appointment.

A Variety of Pictures!

I cannot believe Lexi is 2 weeks away from being 4 months old! That just seems so surreal to me! She is so close to being able to sit in a high chair and start eating baby food! She is growing up so fast. Her favorite things to do right now are "stand up" with help, pull her paci out of her mouth so that she can suck on her hands instead, hold on to her little white bunny (and suck on his ears...haha!), and hold on to toys! It is so neat to see her hold on to toys now. She is also enjoying sitting in her Bumbo seat! I think that she enjoys the new view of her surroundings! Here she is sitting in her Bumbo seat about a week ago!
This past weekend we put her in her FSU onesie that her Aunt Cristina sent her since they were playing in a bowl game. She wore it proudly and even helped them to win their bowl game. However, like with every other outfit she wears...she decided to spit up on it and drool all over it! She is quite the drooler now! Here she is proudly sporting her FSU attire!
We have also found that burping her has become more of a challenge. She loves to try and stand up while we are burping her. The other day, John was burping her and she stood up and wouldn't sit back down...so John pretended to fly her like a super baby! I took a cute picture of that and also some pictures of the two of them. They are so adorable together.
I will end this post with just some random pictures of her. She is getting so big! On Saturday she weighed in at the doctor at 13 pounds 3 ounces! I couldn't believe it! It is so neat to see her sit in her bouncy or her swing now and then look back on pictures from when she was just a month old and see how much bigger she really is!

Photo Shoot Part 2

I have received the photos from Lexi's photo shoot and I just want to share some of my favorite pictures from the shoot! She is absolutely beautiful!!!!! I cannot believe how big she is getting! Enjoy!!I would have to say that first picture is my favorite because I absolutely love how beautiful her eyes are! They are so wide open and so pretty!
