Pictures from a Lazy Saturday

Here are just a few pictures from yesterday. Lexi and I had a very lazy Saturday with lots of playtime!Such a cutie pie! I just love the palm tree on the top of her head! It's the only way I can keep her hair out of her eyes!!

First Pool Swim

Yesterday Lexi took her first swim in a pool at her grandparents house. She was so cute in her bathing suit and floppy hat! I actually think she really enjoyed it!

I cannot wait to take her back and go swimming again. Maybe next weekend since it is a 3 day weekend. Amazingly she didn't even take off her hat! She kept it on the whole time! I thought for sure she would pull it off and put it in her mouth.

In other news...she is crawling now. She will only do it on the carpet though. She hasn't quite figured out how to do it on the hardwood. She will get their eventually. She gets so excited when she takes a few steps...her smile gets so big!

Could She Be Crawling Soon?

Lexi took a couple of coordinate crawling steps last night for the first time where both her legs and arms moved!!! Prior to this it has bee just a scoot...I think she is starting to figure it out!!! So hopefully crawling is in our near future!!!! :)

Happy 8 Months Alexis!

Happy 8 Months Baby Girl!!!!!!

I cannot believe that Lexi is 8 months old today. She is getting so big! I even had to raise the level of her jumperoo up a notch because she is getting so tall! She doesn't have a doctor's appointment this month so I won't know how much she weighs or how tall she is for another month. I definitely know she has gotten taller because her 6 month clothes don't fit her well anymore. Her pants are now turning in to capris...so I packed them up the other day and brought out her 9 month clothes. Hard to believe the next set of clothes I will buy for her will be 12 month clothes...1 year!!!

Yesterday, John's parents came over to celebrate our birthday's and John's graduation. They got to spend a ton of time with Lexi...which I am sure they enjoyed. I know she was excited to see them. While they were here, I took an updated picture of the three of them...such a sweet picture!!

Some new accomplishments from this past month:

• She can now pull her self up with her toys...it takes her a few minutes, but she can do it
• She has eaten pieces of a donut, pancakes, and a french fry --- starting her off right!
• She really pays attention to her favorite show "Word World" and even smiles when her favorite character Pig comes on
• Has a 3rd tooth on top that is trying so hard to come through
• Loves to walk with help and gets super excited when she does it
• Enjoys playing in her pack and play while mommy and daddy are making dinner/bottles/doing laundry/etc.
• Her favorite thing to do now is squeal!!! It can be very ear piercing at times!
• Has slept through the night for the past 2 nights!!!!! I will take it!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I had the most amazing 1st Mother's Day! My little girl is so special! I cannot believe how amazing she is! We spent the day cuddling on the couch together during one of her naps! It was such an amazing feeling...especially since last year during Mother's Day, we didn't know if we would get to celebrate this year! She truly is the most amazing little girl and I love her more and more each day! I love you Lexi!Can't wait to celebrate many more Mother's Day's with my little girl...

Wonderful Weekend

Saturday Lexi and mommy got to hang out while daddy studied for his final exam! She was in such a great mood and napped very well! I broke in to her 9 month clothes and brought out one of my favorite onesies :) So of course I had to snap some pictures. The onesie says "Shopping with Mommy makes me happy." So cute!
In the top picture if you look close enough you can see a good shot of her two bottom teeth! Her smile is so cute now that you can see the bottom teeth. She is getting her 3rd tooth...the one on the left of where the top 2 should be...she doesn't even have the top 2 yet! Guess she wants to be different :)

Lexi went to the doctor on Wednesday to make sure her ear infection was gone...and it was! That is because she was such a good girl at taking her medicine. She had no problems with it at all! Her nose is also not running nearly as much as it was. So she is able to sleep much better. At that appointment she weighed 17 pounds 2.2 ounces! So crazy! She is almost 10 pounds heavier than she was at birth.

She still isn't crawling but she is so close. She loves to get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. It is coming soon! So crazy! She has been rolling all over the place though which means you have to be right there with her or she could roll right on to the hard wood and bonk her head...that makes her very upset...do you blame her!

Today John is studying for his final exam so it is again Lexi and Mommy time :) Then after, we are hoping to run to Penn Camera's tent sale to see what they have. I would love to check out the filters and see if they are on sale. I want to try the polarized filters...they look pretty cool! We will see though. Yesterday we ordered our headboard and another nightstand for our bedroom! We get to pick it up Wednesday (with the help of my brother-in-law CJ and his truck)! It will be so nice to have something to lean up against in bed!

Well off to do some chores while Lexi gets her nap in. Laundry is calling my name...
