Our Trip to NY

This past weekend we spent Friday through Sunday up in Upstate New York to celebrate my dad's wedding. Lexi had a hard time during the first hour of the trip, but then we stopped and fed her and brought out the portable DVD player (with Word World) and she did fine for the rest of the trip. 6 hours really is a long time for her to be in her car seat --- especially for this child becuase she is SO active!! Luckily she was able to take a little bit of a nap at one point during the trip which helped! On Saturday morning we met my mom so that she could hold her for the first time ever! My mom was very excited about this...as was I! Lexi and my mom had seen each other NUMEROUS times via Skype and Lexi always had a big grin on her face...so we weren't quite sure how she would had a real face to face meeting! But Lexi did well...my mom even got some smiles out of her! While we were visiting my mom, Lexi discovered a cute wooden chair that she enjoyed sitting in. So now I am on a mission to find her a cute little wooden chair. I believe I can get one at a craft store and then just sand and stain it for her!

Three generations!!! Cute picture...but I can't WAIT to lose the last few pounds...I look awful in this pic!!!

Saturday evening was the wedding at the Silo Restaurant in Greene, NY. It was a nice little ceremony and we had dinner afterwards. Lexi did pretty good, but we had to leave when it got close to her bed time. She was getting a little cranky. She did get to try a baked potato for the first time that night and she really loved it!

I took some pictures for my dad of him and Lena so that they would have some nice memories of their wedding. Overall I am happy with the way they turned out! Congratulations to my dad and Lena!

Sunday morning we left to come home...I think Lexi was happy to get home to her playroom where she could use up some of her energy! She is an on-the-go child!!! It was a good trip, but it was definitely good to get home!
