Happy 6 Months Alexis!

My little girl is 1/2 a year old! She is getting so big! She had her 6 month check up yesterday and she now weighs 15 lbs 9 oz (50th percentile). Her height was measured incorrectly and it put her at the 20th percentile. The doctor said there is no way she only grew 1/4 of an inch in 2 months. She is growing well and hitting her developmental milestones right on track!

We have been given the green light to move on to green veggies which is exciting! I don't want her turning orange from all the orange veggies we have been giving her! We also have been given the okay to move up to Stage 2 (thicker) veggies anytime within the next 4 weeks! So as her Stage 1 fruits and veggies run out, I will replace them with Stage 2's! That is so exciting. We also can try her with a sippy cup now with a little bit of water. I gave her one yesterday and although she held it and put it in her mouth, she hasn't figured out that she needs to tip it back to get the water! With time she will figure it out :)

This weekend is suppose to be nice and sunny so Lexi, daddy, and I are going to do a little bit of yard work. We are going to work on planting some flowers and ripping up some dead plants in the front yard. I might also take Lexi to see the easter bunny!

Her sleeping has gotten much better in the past week. She is no longer needing that middle of the night feeding...which is AMAZING!!! She does still stir about twice during the night, but she usually goes right back to sleep. That has definitely been nice. She is also sleeping a little bit later...this morning she slept until 7:15 a.m.! Now if she could only do that on the weekends, we would be all set :)

Here are her 6 month pictures that I took yesterday morning before her doctor appointment. As you can see, she is sitting in the recliner a little better than she was even just last month! I can't wait until she can sit up on her own...she is getting close!
